House Rules

One of the best things about our holiday apartments is that they are located in central locations around Berlin. Life in the city is hectic and loud and when Berliners come back to their homes they are looking forward to a place where they can relax and sleep comfortably so that they can get up refreshed the next day and go to work or enjoy some time off. That of course doesn't mean that people in Berlin don't party. We do, but we do it in the many places that are suited for that. Berlin offers so many clubs and bars and parks, there is no need to bring the party home. Our rules are in place in order to protect our guests, our apartments, and our neighbours. Please take a couple of minutes to familiarise yourself with our rules in order to make sure that our vacation rentals are the right place for your holiday.

By submitting a booking request, you agree to our house rules.

Quiet Hours

Government mandated quiet hours apply from 10 pm to 8 am and from noon until 2 pm.

All our apartments are located in typical Berlin period buildings. These buildings are 100 years old and the sound insulation is often lacking. Therefore, adherence to the quiet hours is crucial for us, our neighbours and future guests.

This is why we use smart home technology to monitor the volume levels in the apartment. The used smart home device is called Minut and it monitors the noise level measured in decibels. Minut is privacy compliant as it is camera-free and does not listen in on conversations or capture any other sensitive data.

Disabling or removing the Minut sensor will result in immediate cancellation of the rental contract and you will be asked to leave the property.

No Parties

We have a zero-tolerance policy that will result in immediate eviction from the property without a refund. You will also be responsible for all additional cleaning costs and any damage incurred.

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited anywhere in the building. Violation of this rule will result in a 200 EUR fine which will be subtracted from your deposit.

No Additional Occupancy

The apartment may only be used by the named guests. The usage by a third party or any other additional occupancy is not permitted. So please be sure that you have entered the correct number of guests during the booking process. If you break this rule, we will ask you to leave immediately and you waive your right to a refund.

Visitors must be approved in advance, so please let us know ahead of time if you wish to invite anyone to the apartment.

No visitors are allowed in the garden in Grellstraße after 9 pm in order to avoid noise disturbances for our neighbours.

No Downloading or Streaming

Illegal downloading or viewing of illegal content through our internet connection is forbidden and, according to German law, can result in legal prosecution and a fine of 1000 € or more.

Damages

Accidents happen to the best of us. Please inform us immediately about any damages so that we can fix them in time before the next guests' arrival. We won't charge you for a broken glass, but we do of course expect that you pay for any major damages that might happen.
